Thanks to everyone at KAOS for the effort they went to for the event last night. Mike did a great job and was as entertaining as ever. In fact all the entertainment went down well as did the ploughman’s and the lager !!
I hope it was a successsful night for the society both financially and in terms of drumming up extra support.
Thanks
Steve Edgar

A large group of members gathered on 8th May to read through the script. After a break the ice session organised by Trisha, was I a Pear? we settled down and over the course of a couple of hours read and sang through the entire script taking it in turns to be the various characters. Much hilarity ensued as Chief Sitting Bull’s accent moved mysteriously between characters on occasions! A really worthwhile evening. Auditions were also announced as Monday 2nd June at QMC of course.

Saturday of show week is always about endurance! Arriving by 1 pm, performing the matinee and then turning around again for the evening show. And in everyones mind the thought of the derig and the midnight pizzas!

A great first night I think we can all agree. Nothing went wrong, everyone remembered everything, the band were great, as they always are! all the technical bits worked spectacularly well and an appreciative audience enjoyed their evening. Always nice to meet afterwards in the bar and hear the comments from our guests. We clearly are doing something right!

Such a different sort of show it’s quite unusual to get home before 11 pm much less midnight.
Big thanks to the whole Company for helping with the tidying up. We can go into the dress tomorrow with virtually nothing outstanding. Fabulous lighting effects from Andrew and his team, the pictures here hardly scrape the surface. Let’s have a great week!

Although I am quite attached to my wig, it will not be accompanying me to Committee meetings or even the after show dinner on Sunday week, well not unless some people are very persuasive!!
